Form & Function by Chloe Rosser
Form & Function is an exploration of how we are situated within our own skin.
The work looks at our experience of being human and our fraught relationship with the body, challenging conventional ideas of beauty by capturing a fluidity of gender and identity in a courageously inclusive cast of subjects. These contorted nudes delicately transform what should be intimately familiar into foreign sculptures.
The book is a culmination of Rosser’s work over a six year period.

“Rosser upends intimacy as it is traditionally conceived. Nude bodies, complete with the ephemera of living – pock marks, scars, moles – are folded into chewing-gum shapes, stretched and moulded into human sculptures.”
– Hannah Williams, Unseen Platform
“My conclusion is that this work, like all great art, succeeds in reminding you of your self as well as of the traits that connect us all.”
